Nicaragua: UN rights office calls for investigations as protest-related violence claims over 100 lives

The United Nations human rights arm has called on Nicaragua to conduct prompt, transparent and independent investigations into serious rights violations alleged to have occurred during anti-Governments protests, which started 18 April and have claimed more than 100 lives and injured over 1,000.
